Your Role
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and enthusiastic applicants for the position of Teacher Assistant to support the needs of students at St Anthony's Catholic Primary School, Rockhampton.
This is a term-time (27.5hpw) contract position, commencing as soon as able or as negotiated with the successful applicant.
Typical duties include but not limited to:
- Practice confidentiality in relation to all aspects of the role
- Assist student learning, either individually or in groups, under the direct supervision of an academic staff member where limited discretion and judgement are involved
- Perform within well-established routines tasks associated with the mass production of printed material including collating, stapling, binding, folding, cutting etc
- Under the direct supervision of a higher-level officer or a member of the academic staff and within well-established routines
- Prepare and clean away materials for use/display in classrooms
- Perform tasks of limited complexity associated with classroom learning e.g. preparing, implementing and supervising learning programs
- Support students in relation to their physical needs
- Other ad hoc duties as required
About you

Mandatory Requirements
- A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
- Current First Aid Certificate, or the ability to obtain.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
