This is an exciting leadership opportunity to lead the school community of St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Clermont commencing January 2026.
St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Clermont is part of a system of kindergartens, primary schools and colleges operated by Catholic Education in the Diocese of Rockhampton (CEDR) in rural and regional centres from Mackay, south to Bundaberg, and west to Longreach.
In your role as Principal, you will be supported by the staff of the Catholic Education Office in the areas of Teaching and Learning, Catholic Identity, First Nations Education, ICT, Finance, Strategy, Business Development, Human Resources and Student Protection.
As Principal at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Clermont, you will report to the Diocesan Director Catholic Education in the Diocese of Rockhampton through the Assistant Director: Schools (Rockhampton Region).
St Joseph's Catholic Primary School is in the rural locality of Clermont, 380km west of Rockhampton and is a welcoming country town, rich in history with a strong sense of community. St Joseph's Catholic Primary School was established in 1900 by the Sisters of St Joseph to serve the township and surrounding properties of Clermont and caters for its current enrolment of approximately 166 students from Prep to Year 6.
The school motto, 'Faith in Christ, Our Teacher' is supported by a community of faith, consisting of dedicated staff, students, families and St Mary's parish community. St Joseph's Catholic Primary School focuses on providing a child-centred academic education of the highest standard.
The school enhances a safe learning environment guided by Christian values, promoting growth and development for the individual to be the best possible versions of themselves in every way, and to ensure that all who attend St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Clermont experience success.
