What we are looking for:
Holy Spirit College, Mackay invites applications from qualified and enthusiastic educators for the position of Teacher Librarian or Library Manager who can apply professional skills, knowledge and experience to manage, organise, plan, implement and develop our Library services. This is a full-time (30hpw) or term-time (38hpw) contract position, commencing from 19 January 2026 until 17 January 2027.
Applicants who possess the following are encouraged to apply:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers Registration or current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
- Appropriate qualities, knowledge and skills to provide a relevant and holistic education
- Be a member of ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association) (desirable)
- Eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
About You
The successful applicant will have an understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic education. In addition you will have excellent time management skills, well developed interpersonal skills and a high proficiency of computer skills.
Tertiary qualifications at either a Bachelor or Associate Diploma/Diploma level or equivalent knowledge, qualifications and experience relevant to the position would be advantageous. Membership with Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) would be desirable.
