Your Role
We are seeking experienced applicants for the position of Technology Officer to provide service and support to the Mackay Region schools. This is a full-time continuing position (38hpw) for an immediate commencement or as negotiated with the successful applicant. This position will be based at St Francis Xavier Catholic Primary School, Mackay.
Typical duties performed include, but are not limited to:
- Practice confidentiality in relation to all aspects of the role
- Apply a range of technical and other skills to undertake tasks that may include:
- Assist with systems analysis and design in relation to the development and maintenance of ICT systems and services
- Investigate malfunction in operational programs and services, and liaise with service owners to resolve, test and remediate issues
- Manage the installation and maintenance of IT services in the school
- Maintain a register of computer hardware and software including accurate information about the allocation of items to users or locations
- Provide support and assistance to school leadership with developing the school budget in regard to IT, including device procurement, and technology related projects for the school and strategic plans to meet short and long term ICT goals of the school.

Mandatory Requirements
- A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner, including some travel to schools within the Diocese.
