Your Role
An exciting opportunity exists to join the team at St Anthony's Catholic Primary School, Rockhampton, in the position of Facilities Coordinator. This is a full-time position for 38 hours per week, commencing as soon as possible or as negotiated with the successful applicant.
Typical duties include but are not limited:-
- Manage the daily workflow of Facilities and Cleaning staff ensuring cleanliness and safety of all school facilities.
- Ensure school facilities and equipment use complies with CEDR WHS requirements.
- Provide oversight of grounds, facilities and maintenance programs
- Co-ordinate staff training regarding induction of new staff and annual WHS updates of current staff.
- Oversee maintenance/repairs of the school are performed and kept up to date.
- Plan the maintenance requirements for upcoming school events
- Liaise with external contractors in areas such as furniture, security, air-conditioning, carpets, electrical equipment, and machinery and make recommendations to the Principal.
- Report hazards and conduct risk assessments at the request of the Principal or Leadership Team.
- Liaise with the WHS Officer to ensure safety inspections are conducted regularly.
- Support other relevant personnel in organising and supervising regular checks to school services such as testing and tagging of fire and electrical equipment, gas equipment, air-conditioners, back flow valves and pest control, etc.

The successful applicant will have relevant experience and an understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic Education. In addition, you will have excellent time management skills and well developed interpersonal skills.

Mandatory Requirements
- A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
