Catherine McAuley College opened its doors in 2022, in order to meet the growing demand for a quality, Catholic Education in the Mackay region. Starting with pioneering Year 7’s in 2022, they will grow into a complete Years 7 to 12 profile by 2027.

Your Role
An exciting opportunity exists to join the team at Catherine McAuley College, Mackay, in the position of ICT Coordinator. This is a full-time continuing role for 38 hours per week to commence as soon as possible or as negotiated with the successful applicant.
Typical duties include:-
- Operate and be responsible for the IT Service delivery for the school and all its operations.
- Provide diagnosis and support services to staff and students on the use of complex communications, computers and audio visual equipment.
- Utilise the Service Desk portal to manage incidents and support requests including:
- Log all incidents, record diagnostic activities and work undertaken
- Manage communications with stakeholders
- Manage priorities or incidents
- Categorise and review incidents correctly to identify trends and problems
- Close and document resolutions to incidents
- Provide financial, policy and planning advice and investigate, interpret or evaluate information for the guidance of staff or management in relation to school technology needs.
- Be responsible for the development and maintenance of computer systems and services, and recommended changes and improvements where appropriate.
- Provide advice to the Principal and school leadership team on the operations/future directions of the ICT function of the college.

About you

- understanding of and a commitment to the ethos of a Catholic school
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- experience in ICT service delivery, systems support and digital technologies
- knowledge of service desk operations, incident management processes and ICT infrastructure
- organisational and project management skills in ICT environments
- the ability to work well either individually or collaboratively in a team and to accept direction and support
- adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic educational setting
- Tertiary qualifications at Certificate level or equivalent knowledge, qualifications and experience relevant to this role would be highly regarded
