Emmaus College is a co-educational Catholic College in the heart of Rockhampton. The College offers a tailored journey designed to support students at pivotal points in their young lives. The separate Middle School and Senior School campuses provide extensive facilities and create learning environments designed to nurture and empower the students that they serve.

An exciting opportunity currently exists within the Emmaus College Visual Art team.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a full-time teacher to commence from 2022 in either of the following positions: -

Middle Leadership position in the area of:

  • Head of Faculty – Visual Arts (ML-Tier2)

Classroom Teacher in the area of: -

  • Visual Arts, ideally the candidate will be able to teach in at least one other subject area

Teachers who are flexible in their approach, can teach across a range of teaching areas and have a willingness to contribute to the co-curricular life of the school are encouraged to apply. The ability to teach Religious Education would be an advantage.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • An ability to develop and lead quality teaching and learning practices in the subject areas listed above
  • A willingness to proactively engage with professional development opportunities to enhance quality pedagogy and student outcomes
  • An ability to work in collaboration with the Leadership Team and other staff members to contribute to the future planned growth, development and extra-curricular life of the College
