Salary: $36.66 - $37.87 per hour (Casual Rate); $29.33 - $30.29 (Hourly Rate for Part-time or Full-time) (NB. pending qualifications; age based salary rates apply if under 18)

Your Role
As a Tuckshop Assistant you will play a vital role in ensuring our students and staff receive high quality food and service. Your responsibilities may include:
- Assist the Tuckshop Coordinator in the day-day operations of the Tuckshop, providing a friendly, efficient food and beverage service to students and staff.
- Ordering stock from approved, reliable suppliers
- Receiving and checking all supplies against invoices and delivery dockets, signing same before handing over to the Principal or nominee for payment.
- Handling money and correct balancing of same, counting the daily takings and ensuring that daily takings are delivered to the Finance Assistant for banking.
- Follow Workplace Health and Safety procedures in relation to the preparation of food and the cleanliness/hygiene of the tuckshop.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and procedures
- Daily cleaning/tidying of the Tuckshop area.
- Ensuring all stock is stored in a tidy and clean manner.
- Ensuring a high standard of customer service and hygiene is maintained.
About you

- knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire the knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures is essential
- knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire the knowledge of dietary requirements would be highly regarded
- Tertiary qualifications at Certificate level or equivalent knowledge, qualifications and experience relevant to the role of Tuckshop Assistant would be highly regarded

Mandatory Requirements
- A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
