Your Role
An exciting opportunity exists to join the team at Catholic Education Office in the position of Student Information System Help Desk Assistant, for an immediate commencement. This is a full-time continuing position for 38 hours per week.
Typical duties include, but are not limited:
- Building relationships with system users, technical staff, consultants and school leaders to identify and resolve issues, for example:
- Principals, Assistant Principals and Administration staff to implement student information and enrolment system improvements in a timely and effective manner;
- Colleagues from within the Catholic Education Office to develop and maintain systems, respond to emerging needs, improve workflows, and assist wherever help is needed; and
- External partners (i.e., The Alpha School System (TASS), DigiStorm and CEnet) to ensure high quality service, contemporary expertise, and the best practice system implementation for CEDR schools.
- Exercising high levels of confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
- Being an active member of the Business Intelligence (BI) team.
- Reporting on a regular basis, to various levels within the organisation.
- Maximising the user experience of technology solutions in CEDR schools, to enhance the capture and management of data in a systematic manner.
- Developing and maintaining a high-level knowledge of student information and enrolment systems to ensure reliable, dependable, accurate and timely service that supports quality decision-making.
- Performing tasks in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, and where necessary developing and adapting existing processes and procedures to improve service delivery.
- Engaging staff across schools and colleges through the provision of training, advice and support that continually builds capability and capacity.
- Developing solutions to improve data recording, retention, reporting and analysis.
- Facilitating effective communication in a way that contributes to the vision, mission and goals of CEDR.

About you
The successful applicant will have:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- The ability to work well either individually or collaboratively as part of a team, and to accept direction and support.
- The ability to adapt and be flexible within a dynamic educational setting.
- A working knowledge of student information and enrolment systems. This is desirable but not essential.
- A tertiary qualification at Associate Diploma/Diploma level, with appropriate experience or equivalent knowledge, qualifications and experience relevant to this role. This is desirable but not essential.

Mandatory Requirements
- A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner, including some travel to schools within the Diocese.
