PLUMBING COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Qualified plumber looking for a change? Use your plumbing experience in a different way
Circular Head Council is seeking a Plumbing Compliance Officer to assess applications, inspect plumbing and drainage work, and help resolve compliance matters across the municipality.
The role
As Council’s Plumbing Permit Authority, you will:
- assess plumbing applications and issue permits within delegated authority
- inspect plumbing and drainage work
- investigate complaints and non-compliance
- provide practical advice to plumbers, applicants and property owners
- maintain accurate records and meet statutory timeframes.
About you
You will have:
- recognised plumbing trade qualifications
- the required Plumber Practitioner (Certifier) licence
- practical plumbing and drainage experience
- good judgement, communication and organisational skills
- satisfactory National Police Check
- a current driver’s licence and White Card
Local government or compliance experience is desirable, but not essential.

Salary and Benefits
Full-time | Level 4, Grade 1–5 under the Circular Head Council Enterprise Agreement.
Salary: $84,163–$94,065 per annum, plus superannuation. Benefits include:
