Central Highlands Regional Council is looking for an experienced Supervisor Stores to lead and coordinate our region-wide stores and procurement operations. This is your opportunity to be part of a high-performing team that supports the vital delivery of goods and services across the region.
As the Supervisor Stores, you’ll oversee purchasing, warehousing, stock control, and distribution making sure everything runs like clockwork. You’ll drive improvements, ensure compliance with legislation, and provide outstanding support to internal teams so they can deliver for our community.
In this busy role, your will support the organisation by:

Coordinate purchasing and stock management across all Council store locations

Champion efficient warehousing practices and oversee the safe storage and handling of goods

Ensure compliance with Local Government regulations and procurement policies

Lead and support a team of stores officers, providing guidance, training and motivation

Maintain strict internal controls and conduct regular stocktakes and inventory reviews

Drive improvements in systems and processes to enhance performance and accountability

Be available to cover other store locations as needed, supporting a flexible and regional team
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:
-
At least 3 years of experience in stores operations, procurement, logistics or supply chain
- Current C Class driver’s licence

Proven ability to manage a small team, build relationships, and communicate effectively

Strong attention to detail with sound finance admin and stock control skills

Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and digital procurement tools
-
Forklift Ticket, Certificate IV WHS, or qualifications in Procurement & Logistics will be highly regarded
