Central Highlands Regional Council is currently seeking a Property Support Officer to join the Legal & Property team on a Part Time basis. 

In this role, you will undertake a range of operational, administrative and customer service functions associated with the effective operation of the staff and community housing portfolios. 

To be successful, you will be an approachable team player who has a proactive approach to completing tasks and being able to build effective and positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders within our community. You will provide high level of support to the Legal & Property team by:

  • Engage with external agencies including real estate agents, staff and community housing tenants, trade and contractors and government officers.
  • Provide professional administration support and assistance.
  • Administer customer requests and assist the department with systems and process improvements.
  • Lodge requests or actions resulting from housing inspections which will include procurement activities such as obtaining quotes from contractors, raising purchase orders and goods receipting.
  • Draft general tenancy agreements and other notices such as notice to leave, notice to remedy breaches, for approval by senior officers.
  • Supporting officers in undertaking exit and entry inspections or routine inspections.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • Minimum of Queensland C class provisional drivers licence.
  • Understanding of administrative tasks and responsibilities surrounding coordinating of a housing portfolio, maintenance programs, inspections, reporting and follow-up.
  • Competent in a wide range of Microsoft programs.
  • Experience in, and demonstrated passion for, property in a local government environment.
