Join a team that’s shaping the image of a progressive and dynamic region. As the Senior Public Relations Officer (Digital), you’ll lead the creation of engaging, high-quality digital content and storytelling that connects with our communities and strengthens Council’s public profile.

As Senior Public Relations Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and managing digital media strategies, producing creative multimedia content, and ensuring consistent brand management across all communication channels. Working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll collaborate with a passionate communications team to deliver innovative, audience-focused campaigns that make an impact.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and deliver targeted digital communications across web, social and multimedia platforms.

  • Produce creative and engaging content including photography, videography, graphic design and digital editing.

  • Drive innovation through emerging technologies and creative tools to enhance Council’s reach and engagement.

  • Build strong relationships across the organisation and community to promote Council’s initiatives and values.

  • Uphold Council’s brand standards and provide professional PR advice and support to stakeholders.

What you’ll bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Media, Marketing or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum of Queensland C class provisional drivers' licence. 
  • Proven experience in public relations, digital media, and storytelling across multiple channels.

  • Advanced technical skills in photography, videography, graphic design, and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Excellent writing, editing and content creation skills.

  • A collaborative, innovative and proactive approach to communication.
