Central Highlands Regional Council is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Coordinator for our Parks and Gardens across the region.
In this role you will be responsible for effectively overseeing the day-to-day management and coordination of council’s operational parks and gardens, including the development and maintenance of established service levels to meet community needs.
About the Role
As Coordinator Parks and Gardens, you will:

Assist in the development, delivery and management of capital works projects, works programmes, operational plans, service level agreements, policies and procedures, approved budgets and expenditure.

Assist in the delivery of capital works projects within the area of responsibility to ensure delivery of council’s annual capital works program and other projects which council is required to deliver for the community (I.e. grant funded projects).
- Establish a reputation for reliance and trust across the spectrum of stakeholders, including management, peers, fellow workers and the general public.

Complete general administration tasks including report writing and record keeping.

Work collaboratively across the region with other council departments and communities and identifying potential opportunities for innovation and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of council’s operations.

Lead your team, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration and excellence.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

A qualification in Horticulture, Arboriculture, Civil Construction or a related field, or has equivalent experience.

Demonstrates excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Has experience in asset management and the delivery of projects.

Demonstrates leadership, resilience, and a commitment to customer-focused outcomes.

Holds a current Queensland C-class driver’s licence.
