Central Highlands Regional Council is currently seeking a Resource Recovery Support Officer to join our team.
In this role you will provide high-level administration support and assistance to the Resource Recovery team, to ensure the accuracy of operational data, supports waste levy and environmental compliance reporting, facilitates procurement and contract administration processes, and provides frontline customer service for waste and resource recovery services.
In this busy role, you will support the organisation by:
- Provide timely and accurate high level administrative support across the Resource Recovery section.
- Contribute to internal and external reports (e.g., State Government waste data reporting systems, biosecurity, Council quarterly statistics and performance reports).
- Prepare agendas and take minutes for internal and external meetings.
- Assist with the review, update, and maintenance of section documentation including policies, procedures, and factsheets.

- Liaise with external providers such as Cleanaway regarding bin requests and service issues.
- Prepare requisitions, raise purchase orders, complete goods receipting and invoice reconciliation.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:
- Minimum of Queensland C class provisional driver's licence.
- Demonstrated experience and competency in a range of administrative duties, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong knowledge of record-keeping responsibilities and with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
