Remuneration: Stream A, Level 2-3: $76,338.69 to $88,372.60 per annum + superannuation

Central Highlands Regional Council is currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Para Planner to join the Planning & Land Management team. The Para Planner will be responsible for assisting in the provision of town planning responsibilities for Council by providing administrative support on statutory matters (development and subdivision applications) and strategic land use planning including compliance with relevant legislation relative to development matters. 

In this busy role, you will support the organisation by: 

  • Delivering efficient and effective operations of the para-planning, administrative and customer service function for the unit in accordance with statutory legislation and Council's planning scheme. 
  • Providing professional and timely support in assisting with the delivery and management of projects, report writing, record keeping and correspondence.
  • Working collaboratively across the organisation, sharing knowledge and experiences.
  • Identification of potential opportunities for innovation and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of Council’s operations. 

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • A current driver's licence.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external customers with an ability to evaluate customer needs and identify opportunities for service improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience and competency in a range of administrative duties and the ability to learn Council's corporate systems and the Planning & Land Management function.
