Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking a driven and solutions-focused Application Support Analyst with a passion for process improvement and service excellence.

In this key role, you will support and enhance Council’s enterprise systems, including TechnologyOne OneCouncil CiAnywhere (CiA), to deliver efficient business outcomes and improved customer experiences. Working closely with internal stakeholders and vendors, you will identify system improvements, provide high-quality functional and technical support, and help drive smarter, streamlined processes across the organisation.

In this busy role, you will support the organisation by:

  • Providing financial support enhancements
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Support and assist with month end and year end activities
  • Liaise with third parties for level 3 support and software fixes
  • Support, assist and provide project delivery.
  • Working collaboratively across the organisation, sharing knowledge and experiences. Identification of potential opportunities for innovation and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of Council’s operations.
  • To actively participate in ongoing training and self-development to achieve continuous improvement for yourself and council.
  • Taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others, complying with reasonable instruction and cooperating with CHRC policy and procedure per ‘Duties of a Worker’ contained in the Work Health and Safety Act as amended.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

Level 3

  • Minimum of Queensland C class provisional driver’s licence.
  • Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant discipline and/or an equivalent level of expertise and experience to undertake the range of activities required. 
  • Basic understanding of business applications or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop technical and functional skills.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions.
  • Understand the importance of service desk operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office and standard reporting tools. 

Level 4

  • Minimum of Queensland C class provisional driver’s licence.
  • Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant discipline and/or an equivalent level of expertise and experience to undertake the range of activities required. 
  • Experienced in ERP solutions, like TechnologyOne OneCouncil CiA solutions, as heavy user, administrator or support staff. 
  • Demonstrated experience working or supporting business area(s), preferably within a local government environment. 5 Document Set ID: 1923285 Version: 1, Version Date: 04/02/2026 
  • Good understanding of service desk or information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) governance process.
  • Innovative mindset that ensures consideration of all alternative options and the development of creative solutions.
  • Appetite to learn, explore and be flexible to move around different functional domains.
  • Excellent ability to provide users with technical or functional support and experience working with a variety of business applications, especially ERP solutions.
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and organisational skills to facilitate discussion with a range of internal clients, colleagues and vendors to ensure effective solutions and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Experience in requirements elicitation, verification, validation and gap analysis.
  • Ability to train and support personnel in using TechnologyOne OneCouncil solutions or other applications.  

Level 5

  • Minimum of Queensland C class provisional driver’s licence.
  • Tertiary qualification(s) at a minimum of Diploma level in a relevant discipline and/or an equivalent level of expertise and experience to undertake the range of activities required. 
  • Expert knowledge of enterprise applications and ERP platforms (e.g., TechnologyOne OneCouncil CiAnywhere), including configuration, integration, and optimisation.
  • Proven ability to lead complex system implementations and upgrades, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and best practice. •
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of diagnosing systemic issues and designing strategic solutions. •
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capability, fostering team development and succession planning.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions and present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT governance frameworks, including ITIL, change management, and risk mitigation.
  • High-level project management skills, including planning, resource allocation, and delivery within scope and deadlines.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage vendor relationships, ensuring value for money and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, driving digital transformation initiatives across the organisation.
