Remuneration: Stream A, Level 5-6: $112,974.94 - $127,170.90 per annum inclusive of superannuation & locality allowance (5% increase on July 1st 2026)

Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking a Human Resources Project Advisor to support the delivery of innovative HR initiatives that drive strategic workforce success.
In this role, you will work closely with the Manager Human Resources and internal and external stakeholders to coordinate, advise, and deliver HR projects that support our mission of continuous improvement, sustainability, and strong community outcomes.

As the Human Resources Project Advisor, you will:

  • Lead and support HR projects across multiple business areas, ensuring alignment with strategic workforce outcomes.
  • Provide high‑quality reporting and analytics to support workforce planning and human resource decision-making.
  • Offer expert advice on legislation, awards, certified agreements, and HR policies.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide clear, timely communication throughout project delivery.
  • Assist with project planning, implementation, and reporting to ensure milestones and objectives are achieved.
  • Support organisational improvement through policy development, review, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations and industrial matters, helping to manage workplace issues and maintain compliance.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Experience working in a human resource environment.
  • Strong understanding of employment and industrial relations legislation and industrial instruments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently through to completion.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presenting in group settings.
  • Demonstrated diplomacy, confidentiality, strong customer service focus, and ability to influence and build effective relationships.
  • Experience using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Certificate IV or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Project Management, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of Queensland C class provisional driver’s licence.
