Remuneration: Stream A, Level 3-4:$97,175.44 - $111,337.23 per annum inclusive of superannuation & locality allowance (5% increase as of July 2026)

We’re looking for a proactive, organised team player to be the driving force behind our fleet operations. In this role, you’ll make sure our vehicles are safe, compliant, and ready for action – helping us deliver essential services every day. If you’re detail-focused, great at juggling priorities, and thrive in a role where no two days are the same, we’d love you on our team.

In this busy role, your will support the organisation by:

  •  Provide comprehensive, accurate and timely administrative support, ensuring confidentiality is maintained.
  • Contribute to the research and compilation of documents, reports and submissions relating to Fleet, Workshops and Depot Operations.
  • Assist with maintaining NHVAS compliance systems and accreditation regarding all administration processes including, document management, recording and reporting and provide administrative assistance as required.
  • Monitor and triage the shared Fleet, Workshops and Depots email account. 
  • Support end to end procurement services for the Fleet, Workshops and Depot Operations team e.g.: raising purchase orders, requisitions, goods receipting and other financial duties as required.
  •  Liaise with internal and external customers, ensuring enquiries are escalated appropriately, resolved in a timely fashion and customer expectations are managed.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • Minimum of Queensland C class provisional drivers’ licence. 
  • Proficient in a wide range of Microsoft programs with the ability to learn council’s corporate computer systems e.g. Technology One, ECM (records management). 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and backgrounds.
  • Well-developed time management and organisational skills to meet changing priorities/deadlines/timeframes with the ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Commitment to a team-based approach, with demonstrated ability to work productively and cooperatively within a team environment and autonomously to ensure the delivery of a high standard of customer service.
  • Demonstrated experience providing a high level of administrative support
