Central Highlands Regional Council is focused on continuous improvement and investing in its people. As a result, we are looking for a highly motivated and proactive Administration Assistant to support our Communities Department. 

The successful applicant will be self-motivated, results driven and have an enthusiastic approach to customer service. You will also have exceptional attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to be adaptable to accommodate continuous changing priorities. Your well rounded written and verbal communication skills will see you succeed in assisting the team with day to day tasks and specific projects. 

You will provide high level administration support to the Communities Department team by:

  • Providing comprehensive, accurate and timely administrative support to compile documents, reports and submissions. 
  • Arranging employees travel, accommodation and attendance at events as per appropriate policy.
  • Support end to end financial services for the department eg: raising purchase orders, requisitions etc.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers, ensuring queries are escalated appropriately, resolved in a timely fashion and customer expectations are managed.
  • Ensure records are accurate and filed appropriately.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers to resolve queries.
  • Providing administration support across diverse business units within the Commercial & Corporate Services team, working off site at Saleyards and Airport as required.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • Minimum of Queensland C Class Provisional Licence
  • A high degree of competency utilising Microsoft Office suit and other computer programs
