Central Highlands Regional Council’s Water Utilities team is looking for Water Industry Operators to join our team in Blackwater or Springsure, with opportunities available for both entry-level and experienced operators.
As a Water Industry Operator, you’ll play an important role in keeping our communities’ water and wastewater services safe, reliable and operating around the clock.
You’ll be involved in a diverse range of work, including:
- Water quality testing and monitoring
- Chemical dosing and process control
- Maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and reservoirs
- Identifying, reporting and responding to faults and failures
- Quality monitoring, record keeping and reporting
- Assisting with job planning and operational activities
- Completing safety risk assessments and working in accordance with safe work practices

No previous water industry experience? No problem.
Our entry-level positions are a great opportunity to start a hands-on career where you’ll receive practical training, support from experienced team members and the opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations.
Already experienced? Bring your skills.
