Remuneration: Stream A, Level 6 - 7: $94,099.90 – $107,492.97 per annum + Superannuation

Due to an internal secondment, Central Highlands Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced Projects Advisor to work directly with the CEO based in Emerald. We are looking for a proactive and experienced individual to project manage a variety of strategic projects that will positively support the central highlands region.

In this role, you will be a trusted advisor to the CEO, responsible for the planning and delivery of a wide range of projects by:

  • Building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Researching and drafting submissions for consideration
  • Developing and implementing detailed project plans
  • Preparing reports on progress updates and initiatives

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • Well developed project management and implementation experience
  • Expertise in business case development for complex projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to consult with all levels of staff
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and capacity to make informed judgements
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent extensive experience in business case development in a large complex organisation 
  • Minimum of a Queensland class C provisional drivers’ licence
