Central Highlands Regional Council is focused on continuous improvement and investing in its people. As a result, we are looking for an experienced Senior People & Performance Business Partner to work collaboratively with our leaders to drive people strategy and delivery solutions.
Your expertise and ability to provide a broad range of generalist HR advice to diverse and multi-faceted business units will be highly regarded. Working with us, you will have the opportunity to:
- Build positive and effective working relationships with employees at all levels
- Drive business performance through partnering with leaders to build and lead highly effective teams, drive change and guide their team through key people initiatives
- Support and advise on complex Employee Relations and Industrial Relations matters
- Conduct investigations on breach of policies and performance related issues
- Act as a conduit between your operational business units and the People & Performance team to continuously improve people policies and practices
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:
- Extensive experience in providing HR generalist advice within large, complex organisations
- A proven ability to interpret legislation, and investigate industrial relations and workplace matters
- A high degree of emotional intelligence with the ability to consult with employees at all levels
- Exceptional communication and report writing skills, with the confidence and capability to present to internal and external stakeholders
- Intermediate computer and systems skills to document, analyse data, and report appropriately
