Central Highlands Regional Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic Plant Operator Labourer to join the Capella Parks and Gardens team.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to use your existing experience to develop new skills whilst working within a well-developed team. You will be responsible for a range of duties including horticulture maintenance, arboriculture maintenance, mowing, whipper snipping and weed management across the various parks, gardens, facilities and urban streetscapes.

In this busy role, your daily activities will include:

  • Maintaining the various parks and gardens, urban streetscapes and facilities in the Central Highlands Region
  • Operating lawn mowers, whipper snippers, tractors and other plant equipment
  • Carrying out physical activities to maintain Parks and Gardens facilities 

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • Minimum of Queensland C Class Provisional Licence (Manual)
  • General Construction Induction Card
  • ACDC Statement of Attainment and Commercial Operators licence (or ability to obtain).
  • Working in Proximity to Traffic modules (or ability to obtain).
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake physical task associated with the position
  • Sound standard of communication skills, including responding to routine enquires from the general public and fellow employees, and recording activities and standard information.
