At Central Highlands Regional Council we are committed to investing in our employees. As a result, we are currently seeking a highly experienced Coordinator IT Infrastructure to join the team based in Emerald. As an organisation we are progressive with our technology adoption and have robust IT infrastructure in place to enable this role to explore and deliver exciting new initiatives to advance the organisation.
We are looking for an expert in IT Infrastructure who is committed to mentoring and leading a high performing and dedicated team. You will also be an escalation point for priority and complex support requests and be key to supporting the Manager ICT to ensure delivery of information technology projects and improvement initiatives.
In this busy role, you will support the organisation by:
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team within an ICT environment, including the ability to mentor and grow team members.
- Assist with progressing the delivery of council’s cyber security controls.
- Managing the operational efficiency of CCTV assets.
- Coordinate the continuous improvement of councils Information Technology installation and processes.
- Manage the successful delivery of IT infrastructure projects in accordance with project management principles and in alignment with the ICT Strategic Plans.
- Demonstrated experience in project planning to manage resources and timeframes that deliver expected outcomes.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:
- Minimum of Queensland C Class provisional drivers licence.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or sufficient demonstrated experience and knowledge within relevant industry.
- Demonstrated experience working in IT Infrastructure or associate field of work.
- Extensive experience with problem resolution and technical change management processes, including an understanding of ITIL methodologies.
- Strong experience in life-cycle management of server, storage, & networking infrastructure.
- Experience managing Microsoft applications and services including Windows Server, Exchange Online, Office 365, Azure Active Directory and Security Services, and Microsoft
Intune. - Demonstrated experience in effective customer service and communication with customers.
- Proven ability to mentor employees on all IT aspects including standard operating environment, infrastructure topologies, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
