City of Newcastle (CN) is seeking an Insurance Officer to join our legal team to fulfil a fixed-term contract until December 2023 to provide support to the insurance team.
In this position, you will provide day-to-day claims management of all insurance-related matters in an efficient and timely manner working with other CN Service Units to gather information to process claims.
You will work across a diverse portfolio of work to utilise your exceptional time management and communication capabilities.
Your ability to balance competing deadlines in a highly complex and demanding work environment, ensuring high attention to detail coupled with a high quality of output will ensure you are placed for success in this role.

The Legal Service Unit is a multidisciplinary unit that leads and guides CN in its core legal, governance and risk functions with the insurance function being an essential component of CN's risk management.
The Legal team supports staff and elected officials towards good governance, legislative compliance and risk management that enables the making of ethical, timely, risk informed and evidenced based decisions.
