Expression of Interest - Join our Reconciliation Action Plan 2021-2024 Working Group!

With the endorsement of our third Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2021 – 2024 late last year, Expressions of Interest are now being called to increase the membership of the RAP Working Group and to provide more opportunities for our wider employee population to contribute towards the success of implementing key initiatives within the RAP. The RAP Working Group is a diverse group of employees, senior leadership and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff.
Our RAP is one of the key strategic objectives of the Newcastle 2030 Community Strategic Plan that aligns to our CREW values. Each of the four pillars (Relationships, Respect, Opportunities and Governance) includes practical actions that will drive and support CN's contribution to reconciliation both internally and in the communities in which it operates.
We are really excited to see where this RAP takes us in our reconciliation journey and, as a start, we hope we can begin by bringing awareness and education to people within our sphere of influence around the importance of the histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

How will the EOI process work?
- The selection process will be based on merit with the panel members reviewing your application.
- Short-listed members will be invited for a discussion to further express their interest.
- New members will be introduced to the RAP committee on the 27 February 2022.
- At least 50% of new members will be Aboriginal employees.
