CN has a great opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our Transport and Compliance team to assist with detailed reporting and analysis of service unit operations. By liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, you will help guide the service unit towards the best strategic action and operational direction.

The Transport & Compliance team currently manages a range of operational matters that generates a wide range of data and handles over $13 million in generated revenue. The team operations include our parking management, incoming parking revenue, monitoring of compliance actions across the city, traffic reviews and evaluations, and tracking performance of our animal compliance activities.

In this role, you will analyse data, generate business reports, and carry out timely maintenance that will effectively troubleshoot technical difficulties. This includes the parking software and other related systems which you will ensure all users are sufficiently supported and trained in. You will track trends and make recommendations for change if there is expected benefits or costs forecasted for the business. You will also establish detailed processes and system interactions to support these new changes.

The successful candidate will provide regular analytical support to managers and advise when to investigate potential opportunities and issues. As the Business Analyst you will adopt a continuous improvement approach when reviewing and redevelop reports to ensure they remain relevant to dynamic changes in the business.

This fixed-term opportunity is in line with Clause 21.4 of the 2019 City of Newcastle Enterprise Agreement. Specifically, you will be employed to work on a specific task or project that has a definable work activity as outlined above.

Remuneration: $102,246.69 + 10% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week.
