City of Newcastle (CN) is currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Administrative Officer to join our Building Trades Services team and provide administrative and secretarial support.

A Day in the Life…

Your role as Administrative Officer will see you working collaboratively within a team, with a range of responsibilities including:

  • Operate and maintain a system for processing of accounts from procurement to payment.
  • Provide a customer focal point for the service element on all internal / external communications.
  • Perform storage and retrieval of administrative information on corporate information systems (i.e. Tech One, ECM).
  • Manage and process work order service requests.
  • Arrange meetings including invitations, agendas and minute taking / distribution.
  • Ensure Building Trades Services records and administrative information is accurate and up to date.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of skills using computerised systems to meet unit demands and support business activities.
  • Maintaining Building Trades Services reputation and image as a professional provider of high-quality information and services in administrative matters.

Remuneration:  $71,021.75 + 11.5% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week.
