City of Newcastle (CN) is looking for an experienced Strategic Planner to join the Strategic Planning Team within the Planning, Transport & Regulation (PTR) Service Unit.
As the Strategic Planner you will provide your knowledge and expertise in preparing specialist strategic land use and development policy advice. You will assist in developing and managing land use planning strategies and other Council strategic policy documents. You will also be engaging with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve understanding throughout City of Newcastle and its community of our city-wide strategies.
This role will see you play a key part in formulating holistic, city-wide and place specific strategic land use policies and outcomes for the City of Newcastle, consistent with the 2030 Community Strategic Plan.

Remuneration: $104,536.76 + 11.5% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week.
The above rates are reflective of the Salary System Pay Rates in the CN 2023 Enterprise Agreement.
