Community Net Zero Specialist

City of Newcastle is looking for an experienced Community Net Zero Specialist to roll out their newly launched 'Empowering Newcastle' program, that will deliver community and business engagement programs and projects that support the transition of the Newcastle LGA to net zero emissions.

As the Community Net Zero Specialist you will have the opportunity to foster successful partnerships to drive action that supports the Newcastle LGA's transition to net zero by providing technical input, leadership, and internal and external stakeholder engagement.

You will apply your experience and expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating community and business engagement programs and projects that support the transition of the Newcastle LGA to net zero emissions, with a strong focus on renewable energy and battery storage access and uptake, energy efficiency, electrification, and community renewable energy.

Remuneration:  $120,061.83 + 11.5% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week.
