City of Newcastle (CN) and the NSW Government have developed the draft Broadmeadow Place Strategy to guide future development in the area. This significant project is to provide the opportunity for additional housing, jobs and population growth, as well as a world-class sports and entertainment precinct.
As the Senior Strategic Planner, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact by managing the development and currency of strategic urban planning strategies, instruments, policies, plans and reports from inception to adoption by CN and implementation associated with the development and progression of the Broadmeadow Place Strategy.
The project applies to the area known as the Broadmeadow Regionally Significant Growth Area identified in the Hunter Regional Plan 2041.
