City of Newcastle (CN) is currently looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Field Worker - Pest Control to join our Facilities Management team in this newly created permanent, full time opportunity.

As our Senior Field Worker - Pest Control, you will assist in the control of pests (including termites, cockroaches, spiders and rodents) within CN facilities, road reservices and open spaces. You'll conduct scheduled routine asset and facility inspections, apply statutory tools and take appropriate regulatory enforcement action/cost recovery procedures for breaches and cases of non-compliance of the NSW Biosecurity Act and Regulation.

This is a community-facing role, so you will bring excellent communication skills, delivering high-quality outcomes with a strong customer focus, and completing works in a manner which causes minimum inconvenience to the public. As such you'll work with the community regarding pest infestations including exercising statutory powers in a courteous manner maintaining the reputation of CN an upholding our organisational values.
Additionally, you will have a strong safety focus, and you will ensure the safe preparation, storage, handling and application of pesticides, herbicides and other chemicals.
