City of Newcastle (CN) is seeking an Exhibitions Support Officer to join our Exhibitions and Cultural Collections team within the Museum Archive Libraries & Learning (MALL) service unit in this temporary, part time opportunity, working 28 hours per week Monday to Thursday until January 2026.
As our Exhibitions Support Officer, you will support the Exhibition & Cultural Collections team with the installation, creation and maintenance of our exhibitions. From the Supernova Science Centre modules to temporary and permanent social history exhibitions and from incoming/outgoing travelling exhibitions of all sizes and themes to the large-scale theatre of the BHP sound and light show, this hands-on role is the build, install and maintenance position of the exhibitions team.
To be successful in this role, you will be safety focused, conducting yourself in a safe and respectful manner, ensuring safe work practices are consistently and continuously followed. Excellent communication skills are also imperative as you promote and enhance the professional image of MALL within and external to CN by providing a high standard of customer service through a strong community, business and media support network.
