As we transform and expand Newcastle Art Gallery, an exciting opportunity exists to join our evolving team. City of Newcastle is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Public Programs Officer to join the Newcastle Art Gallery team in a newly created role.

As a key role in Newcastle Art Gallery's expanded Audience Team, the Public Programs Officer will contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality public programs and events that contribute to the Art Gallery's reputation as a leader in the region.

This position will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of public programs and events, including the development of promotional strategies and collateral to support these programs. You will have strong local and national networks to produce programming that is ambitious and engages broad and diverse audiences.

Reporting to the Audience Lead, the Public Programs Officer will work collaboratively within the Audience Team and the Gallery's wider team, as well as with external partners, communities and audiences to co-develop, promote and deliver an annual events program.

This role would suit a highly organised and motivated individual with background in event management and strong interpersonal skills.

Remuneration: $82,981.04 + 11.5% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week.
