City of Newcastle (CN) are currently seeking motivated Leading Hands to assist Field Supervisors with the efficient and effective planting, maintenance and other associated works of trees and shrubs on land under the control of CN.
In this role you’ll enjoy mentoring and training crew members and organising the required labour, plant and material for jobs. Taking a ‘hands on’ approach, you’ll carry out the daily tasks with the team. You’ll also act as a safety leader and effectively demonstrate CN’s CREW values.
You’ll be responsible for the correct tree planting, pruning and removal techniques to satisfactorily complete allocated works within nominated timeframes to achieve the required standard and quality of work, whilst ensuring safe work practices are adopted and carried out in accordance with WHS guidelines.
