City of Newcastle is looking for an experienced Biodiversity Engagement Specialist to join our Environment and Sustainability Service Unit to lead the development and delivery of community and business biodiversity engagement programs.
As the Biodiversity Engagement Specialist, you will act as the subject matter expert in providing your strategic and technical expertise to assist your team to build and foster successful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
With the recent development of our Newcastle Environment Strategy and its complementary Urban Forest Action Plan this role will be pivotal in delivering and facilitating key community behaviour change projects whilst supporting the Environmental Education Officer by providing coaching and mentorship to enhance their opportunity to grow professionally.
