 City of Newcastle is looking for experienced Administration Assistants to build its casual workforce to continually support the ever-changing demands of our Summerhill Waste Management Facility.

This role would be perfect for those carers and or parents returning back to work, those looking to understand an administration role with City of Newcastle, those studying and looking for flexible working arrangements or those who are looking to try a career in another field.

As an Administration Assistant you will have a strong focus on high-quality customer service outcomes, safety and operational efficiency, including an emphasis on continuous improvement. Operating the weighbridge, this role is the first point of contact for customers to Summerhill Waste Management Centre and is critical to the effective provision of the waste management service to the community.

This opportunity will see you work collaboratively as part of a team; this role works closely with the Business and Customer Support Officers and other site staff to ensure an optimal experience for site customers.

Waste Services takes a systematic approach to delivering its services and the Administration Assistant is an integral part of this systematic approach to deliver better customer and business outcomes.
