We’re recruiting for a 4.5-month secondment opportunity as Executive Operations Officer within the Planning & Environment Service Unit.

This dynamic role supports the Service Unit Managers by coordinating a broad range of high-level administrative duties, while providing guidance and advice on City of Newcastle policies and procedures. You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the unit.

As the main interface between Service Unit Managers, staff, executive teams, Councillors, and both internal and external stakeholders, the successful candidate will be a confident communicator, highly organised, and customer-focused.

The Business Operations & Customer Excellence Unit is part of the Planning & Environment Directorate, and this role reports to the Manager, Business Operations & Customer Excellence.

Remuneration:  $95,192.44 + 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment + 12% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week.
