City of Newcastle (CN), Lord Mayor's Office (LMO) has a newly created permanent part-time opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented Events & Communications Support Officer.
As a member of our team, you’ll have a behind the scenes pass to Newcastle's evolution as you shape our future as a liveable, inclusive city.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff- (LMO), you will support the planning and delivery of a diverse range of events and functions hosted or attended by the Lord Mayor. You will contribute to the Office of the Lord Mayor’s communications efforts by assisting with the creation and scheduling of social media posts and help to establish and manage LMO social media pages.
Key to your ongoing success will be your exceptional communication, strong time management abilities whilst ensuring a high level of discretion. You will work independently on projects and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
This role requires someone who can collaborate effectively with internal teams as well as external stakeholders and organisations to ensure the smooth execution of events and communications. Remuneration: $39,306.60 + 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment + 12% Superannuation per annum for a 17.5-hour week
