Our Planning & Development team plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our LGA, and we are now seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Development Officer to play a pivotal role in the assessment and determination of development applications with a strong focus on their impact on the natural, built, and social environments

Working within Planning & Development is an opportunity to contribute significantly to the development and planning of the city across a wide range of projects, including precinct planning, transport planning, and major residential, industrial and commercial proposals not often available in other areas. P&D commonly determines development projects valued over $1 Billion per year across a wide range of development types.

As the Senior Development Officer, you will provide high-level professional advice to internal and external customers, committees and working parties, regarding development proposals, assessment procedures, statutory requirements, CN policies and plans, and general planning, development and building matters.

This position will also give you the opportunity to train, coach, and mentor colleagues to enhance the team’s skills and capabilities and promote CN’s compliance processes as being customer-focused and meeting best practice.

Remuneration: $123,663.63 + 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment + 12% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week
