Community and Recreation currently have a unique opportunity for a Community and Recreation Project Lead to join their team and oversee the delivery of the City's significant Community and Recreation infrastructure projects within the Service Unit. This is a permanent, full-time role.
In this role, you will provide direction and deliver high quality Sport, Recreation, Community and Aquatic infrastructure as part of CN's capital works program including grant funded projects. The role will make recommendations to support the achievement of Community and Recreation’s strategic objectives aligned to Newcastle 2040 and key adopted strategies and masterplans including the 2020 Strategic Sports Plan and the Inland Pools Strategy 2043.
Our Community and Recreation Project Lead will guide and support the delivery of the service unit's capital works program including delivery of feasibility assessments, concept design, detailed design and project planning. This includes preparing business cases to support state and federal grant applications for major projects. You will also provide professional advice and information for capital project planning, policies, guidelines and plans, ensuring the effective delivery of capital works which deliver the City’s services.

Remuneration: $132,740.42 + 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment + 12% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week
