Field Worker - City Presentation (Internal Only)

This permanent opportunity offers a hands on role supporting the cleanliness, safety and presentation of Newcastle’s public spaces. As part of the team, you’ll help care for public conveniences and streetscapes that our community uses every day.

You’ll clean public toilets and footways, remove litter and debris, maintain street furniture, and report faults or vandalism to support timely rectification. Your attention to detail and pride in your work will help ensure facilities are maintained to a consistent, high standard.

Safety and teamwork are central to the role. You’ll follow safe work practices, work independently and with others, organise your workload efficiently, and minimise disruption to the public.

Your work will have an immediate, visible impact, playing a behind the scenes role in shaping a cleaner, more liveable Newcastle. Here, you’re not just maintaining our city, you’re helping care for it and co‑create the places that matter to our community.

Remuneration:  $64,572.71 + 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment + 12% Superannuation per annum for a 38-hour week
