Economic Development Lead (Internal Only)

MEECA currently have a temporary opportunity for an Economic Development Lead to join the team until Jun 2027.

As the Economic Development Lead, you will be accountable for the development and delivery of CN's Economic Development Strategy, be the primary interface with the local business community, and oversee delivery of all CN's Grants and Sponsorship programs, and Special Business Rate Programs to ensure the most strategic and cohesive outcomes for the city.

This role acts as a key liaision with businesses, industry and government stakeholders for the development and evaluation of effective economic development initiatives. It also actively manages relationships with all levels of government regarding relevant policy development, advocacy and collaborative engagement to realise city and community benefits and strategic growth outcomes.

With demonstrated leadership skills, you will have three direct reports and manage the City Economy team ensuring effective leadership, and budget and reporting processes are in alignment with key performance indicators.

Remuneration: $138,049.95 + 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment + 12% Superannuation pro rata per annum for a 35-hour week
