ABOUT YOU
The preferred candidate will be caring and compassionate, have a 'can do' attitude, have a positive and supportive nature towards the wellbeing of our residents. Previous experience in an aged care environment preferred but not essential.
To be successful in this position you will need:
- Provisional Driver's Licence (Minimum)
- Sound computer skills
- Ability to work in a team environment with good time management skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
ABOUT THE ROLE
Do you have a passion for working with our older generation? Cobar Shire Council is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Recreational Activity Officer to join our team at the Lilliane Brady Village, our 44 bed aged care facility.
As a Recreational Activity Officer you would be responsible for:
- providing meaningful activities to our most important people - the residents
- maintaining and enhancing the psychological, spiritual, social, and emotional needs of the residents
- facilitating opportunities for our residents continued involvement in the wider community
This is a fulltime position (38 hours per week), classified as a Care Service Employee commencing at $31.15/hr.
The spread of the hours are worked over a 19-day month, Monday to Sunday.
