ABOUT YOU

 

Our preferred candidate will be a proactive, values-driven individual with tertiary qualifications in Project Management (or similar), combined with demonstrated experience in complex infrastructure or service based projects.

 

You will be highly organised, and a flexible team player who shows an elevated level of self-motivation to grow within this role. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build collaborative and productive stakeholder relationships to deliver high-quality outcomes.

 

To succeed in this position, you will bring:

  • Proven experience managing multiple projects from inception to completion

  • The ability to coordinate contractors and consultants, monitor budgets, and deliver projects to scope, time and quality expectations

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting capability

  • A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement

  • Confidence liaising across all levels of the organisation and community

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of a range of strategic and operational projects. This includes manaigng projects from pre-design through to commissioning, handover and acquittal, while ensuring compliance with Council's project management and procurement framework and funding requirements to ensure best value for money is being provided for Council and the community. 

This full-time position is classified as Band 3 Level 3 (commencing at $98,500) under Council's salary system in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award, working a nine-day fortnight, 35 hours per week.
