Council owns and operates the Cobar Shire & TAFE Library, Great Cobar Museum and Visitor Information Centre, Lilliane Brady Village (residential aged care facility), Children's Services, Youth & Community Centre as well as works depots in Cobar and Euabalong.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Utilities and Environment, our preferred candidate will have a solid understanding of current environmental legislation and regulation, with previous experience (or an interest) in sustainable waste management practices to assist with the development and implementation of our waste management strategy, as they will have direct operational oversight for the waste collection and disposal team. We are committed to the sustainable development of our community, focusing on both economic growth and environmental integrity.
This full-time position is classified as Band 3 Level 2 within Council's salary system, with a salary ranging between $79,000 - $91,000 dependent on the qualifications and experience of the candidate in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award, working a nine-day fortnight, 35 hours per week.
