Council owns and operates the Cobar Shire & TAFE Library, Great Cobar Museum and Visitor Information Centre, Lilliane Brady Village (residential aged care facility), Children's Services, Youth & Community Centre as well as works depots in Cobar and Euabalong.

ABOUT YOU

 

To be eligible for this role you will need to be trade qualified with a broad level of experience in the repairs and maintenance of light commercial, passenger vehicles and trucks, with well-developed technical, diagnostic and analytical skills relevant to mechanical repairs and servicing.

 

The successful candidate will be reliable, energetic, customer focused individuals who take pride in their high standard workmanship, acute problem-solving skills, and comprehensive mechanical ability.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our workshop performs fault diagnoses on a broad range of plant, vehicles, and equipment as well as servicing, registration, maintenance, and repairs to ensure that Council’s fleet is safe, fit for purpose, and operating at optimum efficiency.

 

The salary is negotiable dependent on the skills and experience of the candidate. Our standard full-time hours are 38 hours per week, working a nine-day fortnight, however for the right candidate Council may consider an alternate flexible work arrangement.
