Council owns and operates the Cobar Shire & TAFE Library, Great Cobar Museum, Lilliane Brady Village (aged care facility), Children's Services, Youth & Community as well as works depots in Euabalong and Cobar.

Affectionately known as the "Youthie" to locals, the Cobar Youth & Community Centre provides a variety of services to the Cobar community, including sporting competitions, coordinated activities for people of all ages, a cafe, a function room, and a gymnasium, basketball courts, and squash courts for general use.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Community Centre Assistants will be our frontline customer service for the Youth & Community Centre, so will need to be passionate about giving back to the community. Duties include reception for the facility, kiosk service, food preparation, assistance with organised activities, supervision of users, management of users (it can get a little wild during school holidays), as well as other general clerical and cleaning duties.
To be successful in this role you will have exceptional customer service skills and the enthusiasm to help our diverse range of centre users with the flexibility to adapt, and the ability to independently problem solve, prioritise, and multi-task.
Casual and Part Time positions available commencing on an hourly wage of $28.25/hr under Council's salary system, with employment terms and conditions in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award. The number of hours on offer ranges from 15 - 25 per week.
The current hours of operation require staff to work a variety of shifts (split shifts, mornings, evenings, and weekends) in accordance with a fortnightly roster. These hours are subject to change in accordance with the operational needs of the business. Applicants must be willing and able to work alone, including lock ups, particularly on weekends.
