ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will be reliable and self-motivated with strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, proven time management skills, and able to work with minimal supervision. You will need a driver’s licence, a construction induction white card (or obtain before commencing), and previous experience in a similar role.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Biosecurity Officer you will coordinate biosecurity programs and initiatives to mitigate risks associated with pests, disease and weeds, including providing advice and guidance on biosecurity matters to council staff, landholders, industry representatives and the wider community.
This is a full-time position working a nine-day fortnight, 38 hours per week, however the hours and work days may be negotiable for the right candidate.
The remuneration will be negotiated dependent on the qualifications and experience of the candidate, this position is classified up to Band 2 Level 3 (senior officer wage range $42.83.hr - $48.58/hr) under Council's salary system in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
